Birthday Dress

I got this pattern a while ago and this material for the pants.  I just didn't have anything I liked for the top.  When I went through all my material, I found this eyelet stuff.  Perfect!  I got it cut out for my daughter and ended up with enough to make one for my niece too who's birthday happened to be the same week.
I love the lace and how cute it turned out.  I had to alter the top a bit to fit my girl better.  It planned on her being able to wear it without a shirt under it but it was a little windy and she wanted to wear it and I wanted pictures. ;0)

I forgot that I made hair clips to go with it.  I love this pinwheel one and have made it a few times.  But I also liked this other one so I made some of all of them. ;0)

Visiting Teaching Craft

I wanted a close up of all the ones I made because I had so much fun making them, but I was lucky to get these ones.  I wanted to make these so I got together with a few friends to do them.  We had fun and it was nice to do for our ladies we visit.  On the back is the message for March.

Birthday Bash Decor

I can not wait to use this again!  Pinterest again!  Everything but the crown was from Pinterest idea's.  I do love how this turned out.  I think if I were to ever make another one, I would make sure that I put some glue in the middle of the paper I put on the tops.
I spent so much time putting together these cupcakes.  i took the time to put each color in baggies and to make sure that you could see each color on the sides and then look what happened when I cooked them.  They did look cool but I was sad that they did that.

The frosting was amazing!  I had so much fun.  The only difference I would do next time is put less color on the bottom of the bag and put the color father up the bag to make it last longer.
This was fun.  I like to decorate my kitchen for my kids birthdays and this was super easy and made the room look special.
Here is the birthday girl!  I made the crown for her to wear to church so that everyone would know it was her special day.

Shamrocks

As you can see, I have been a little busy with Pinterest things these last few weeks.  I LOVE this site!  There are so many things that you can do and I love when I have everything to do them.

I wanted a bit more green for my house for St. Paddy's Day and so I made these with my sister.

Pretty cool huh. :0)

Home-made Laundry Soap

I am impressed with this stuff.  It works really well, it didn't take much to make and now I have 3 gallons of soap.  I think its a winner.

Pineapple Chicken Salad Pitas

This turned out amazing!  I am a firm believer that you can change any recipe to how you like.  This is one that I think I'll be adding a bit to next time I make it.  But still amazing!  I loved the almonds in it and the pineapple gives it a wonderful flavor.  Try it and see how you like it.

Peanut Butter S'more Cookies

I really liked the dough better than the cookies for this recipe.  I think I'll make another batch and just freeze the dough in balls to eat at my leisure. :0)

Dressing up the Kitchen

Got this for just $2 shipping and handling.  LOVE IT!

Cheerio Treats

I remember these from when I was little.  I was in a peanut butter and chocolate mood a few weeks ago and These sounded amazing.  I happen to have Chocolate Cheerio's and I made up a batch to go to our friends house for the weekend.

I nearly ate them all myself!  They were so good!  I need to buy another box of Chocolate Cheerio's so I can make more.

Banana-Oat Smoothie

  • Oh my goodness!  Is this a winner for my breakfast.  I have a hard time eating breakfast and I love smoothie so when I saw that I had everything for this one I had to try it.  I WILL be having this more often.  I think I might do some peaches instead of the banana next time.  The only other thing I did different was I added 1/2 cup of ice to my smoothie.  I like ice.

Skinny Oreo Cookies and Cream Milkshake

This was really good.  I wanted something chocolate the other day and thanks to Pinterest, I always have ideas that are quick and easy.  It is great that I have most of the things in my house too.  Made a nice treat for my hunny and me while the kids where at school. ;0)

Visual Motivation

I can blog something!

I made these with a friend the other day and she sent me the pictures that she took with her phone.  My phone takes crappy pictures.

LOVE this idea.  I'm hoping it will help me with my goals.
I love the glitter stickers we found!  I don't have a close up of mine but mine are the smaller one.  I think they are awesome and I can't wait to move over my rocks.  It will be hard to only weigh myself once a week.

I did get talked into just starting out small.  One goal at a time.  When I reach that goal, I'll add more rocks.  I'll get there.  That is what I keep telling myself.

***Here are mine.  I wanted some close ups so you can see how cute the rocks and the glitter letters are.

LOVE THEM!!!!

March Madness

I have to say that I have been so busy.  Crafting, cooking, cleaning and all that other good stuff.  This is good news for me.  Bad news.  I can't find my camera charger.  Which means I can't get the pictures of all my fun things off the camera and I can't take pictures of all the fun things I still have to do!  SO SAD!

The new charger will be here in 2 weeks.  Come back then and I will have an overload of posts for you. :0)

Baby Things

Now, I am waiting to post this til my friend that I made all this for has gotten the package.  But I have time right now so I'm making the post.

This is the knot dress that I have fallen in love with.  I have made it so many different ways.  This time I put pleats in it instead of gathering it.  But I wanted a bit more with it so I made these shoes and pin-wheel hair bows to match.

I got the pattern for these off of SewMamaSew site.  LOVE this site.  I wanted them to match the dress and the pleats are perfect!

I found these on Pinterest and have been dieing to make some. I can not wait to make more for my girls!

Another Pinterest pin.  I have to say that this went together so very well and I think I may make some into headbands for little girls and not just neckties.  I'm making more of these for my neighbor that is having a boy and has 2 older boys.
Here is a not so good picture of them all together.  The dress is a size one so it will have to be for next year but I made a few other things that the baby will be able to wear this summer.
One of my babies favorite toys was this tag blanket.  She LOVED it.  So I'm making more.  It is such an easy thing and since babies end up eating their clothes or bibs or socks, this is just as good.

Can not for the life of me find the link that I got this from.  It was with a blanket but I just wanted to make the hat.  I really hope that it fits.  I made 3 bows for this hat and went with this one.  I like it.  Found it.  Here.
My friend asked for this on Pinterest and so I made one up.  I think when I make it again that I will make it wider and put a bit more batting in it.  I'm making some for my doors, one for my babies room and one for mine.  Then I can still shut it but my baby can open the door when she gets up.
This is a boppy cover.  My friend asked me for two things.  A boppy cover and a hooded towel.  This cover is the one I had on my boppy.  I didn't get time to make a new one before I had to send out her package so I did this..
I made my own pattern.  After I'm done with my daughters birthday clothes I'm making, I'll make her a new boppy cover and a few other little dresses that I wanted to do. :0)
This link on Pinterest was so very helpful in making this one.  I loved how well she walked me through the steps and how easy it went together.  I wanted to make it special so I had a neighbor put the "Princess" on there.  This is my new favorite flower to make.  Super easy and super fun!  Found it here.

This is my favorite pattern of all time.  I make this baby dress for all the baby girls I know!  Love the patten, the lace and how summer-y it is.  I got this bow idea from Pinterest too.  Got to love Pinterest. :0)

These were so much fun and I can't wait to finish up the rest I want to make just for her and then I can get started on the other projects I need to do for other friends and their babies and the few I have planned for my daughter for her birthday.

I'm so glad that she got the package so quickly!  Love you Bonnie and can't wait for your baby girl to get here! :0)

S'more Caramel Popcorn

Like I said, popcorn is back in right now.  I threw this together last night after seeing it here on Pinterest.  I had everything to do it and it's popcorn, what could I lose.
Love how much it made.  Hope it sticks around a bit longer than a day. :0)

I loved making the caramel in the microwave and then using the microwave to cook it again in a brown grocery bag.  It tastes almost like my mom's that she cooks in the oven for ever.  This was much quicker. ;0)
I need to work on my drizzling skills.

I think I liked it a lot better when the chocolate was still warm but it was pretty messy.  But I like warm chocolate. :0)

So good!  Now back to my cupcake obsession. ;0)

Zipper Clover

I saw these here and had to have some.  At the time, I thought I had to buy some to get the tutorial.  So I ordered some.  4 to be honest. I figured that I would make some into hair clips for my girls.  That is when I found the tutorial.  For free, without buying anything.  Wish I had know that.  I feel slightly jepted.

But I got them in the mail and made up one.  She had said how she couldn't quite make a 4-leafed clover work so I thought I would at least try.  Here is mine.

I am excited to make the rest of them.  I just did my gathering by hand.  I think I'll try one with a machine and see how it looks, since I did order 4.  We'll see what the others turn out like.

Green Popcorn

I happen to be back on my popcorn kick.  This one I wanted to make like some that my mother had made with just tossing the popcorn with white chocolate.  I happen to have white chocolate and so I popped some corn.  I wanted to make it green and add a bit of mint.  Who knew that it would harden my beautifully melted chocolate and not drizzle at all on my popcorn.  It still worked and was still good.  A few sprinkles added a bit more green and it was all gone. :0)
