Tie Wallet Wristlets

I'm posting!!

I saw this on Pinterest and when I went to the link, it took me to Esty and wanted $22 for one.  No, thank you.  I had just gone through my husbands ties and pulled out all the ones that he hasn't worn in years and packed them in my craft box.  Luck for me, we haven't taken that box to storage yet. :0)

I made my own pattern and I'm very happy with the result.

Here is the one for my mom.  This purple matches her phone perfectly!

This one is my sisters.  I LOVE how it turned out.  Of course, it is the third one I made and the third one is always better. :0)

I have another one all ready to put together that I'm going to put here as a tutorial. :0)  After I get my kids Halloween costumes finished. :0)

Race For the Cure Tutu's

Our family did the Race for the Cure last week and I wanted to share the tutu's I made for my girls.  My oldest was super happy to wear her's.  The baby... not so much. ;0)

I put together the baby's shirt too.  This is a new family tradition and I can't wait for next year.

New Skirt

I have gone through my kids clothes this last round of laundry, and took out all the pants that have holes in the knees to either patch or make into shorts.  I had one pair for my daughter and saw this on Pinterest and wanted to see what I could do.

Now, I have to say, I did this without looking at the link from Pinterest.  I just remember seeing something to the effect of making a pair of jeans into a skirt.  I think I would have liked to do it how it is on the site here but...

It is still cute.  It is like a tight little skirt for her which is wonderful because she can't have her legs up and in the air as much as she likes.  She can't climb like a monkey and be immodest while wearing a skirt.  :0)

Flip-Flop Re-Do

I may have wanted to re-make my flip-flops but not because the dog ate them.

Oh well, I get to re-do them because the dog ate them.  Good thing she only at the part I was planning on cutting off.

Here is the Pinterest site I got it from.

I have to say that I love the flower!  I want to make more to put on my purse. :0)

Dora Dress

I just love this pattern.  I have made it before here.  We had been in the fabric isle of Wal-Mart when my 2 year-old saw this material and I just couldn't say no.

The ties on the neck and here at the bottom of the pants are one of my favorites.  I'm making another Dora one for my niece that also loves Dora.  :0)

Yep. Another One

I know that I have made a ton of these but I want it just right.  And really, it's like a purse, I have to change it with my mood. :0)  So here is my other ones I made, but I needed one that didn't have any cuts or unfinished edges.
I like these corners much better than just the tabs.  This way I can get to all the buttons without having to remove my Kindle.

I also didn't like that the pen would rub on my Kindle so I moved the pocket to the outside, behind the Kindle.  I like having the notebook and pen for when I see another book I'd like to get and that way I can write it down to remember.  My memory is so bad.
Laugh if you want but I have made another one too.  This one was a but bulky to be in the pocket I have for it in my purse so I just made an envelope case that I can slid my Kindle in and then it doesn't make my purse so heavy. :0)  I told you, I like to change. :0)

Happy Birthday to Me

My new purse!!!  I know that you know that I LOVE purses.  I have decided that I like making them as much as I like buying them.  Only now I just buy material. :0)

So I have this book.  I wanted to do this pattern forever and decided that it was what I wanted to do with my birthday money from my in-laws.  So I dragged my husband to the fabric store, made him stay with me for an hour while I looked for the perfect material and came home with this wonderful stuff!
I love the pockets!  I have one for my phone on the side, my keys, my Kindle! and for my other things that I just have to have in my purse.  I did change up the pattern just a bit.  I added an inside pocket with a zipper and I shortened the strap by 6".

I have decided that I need one for each season.  I told my husband when I was done making this one that I was excited to make another one.  He couldn't understand why I would want to make another one when I just finished making this one.  I told him I needed one for each season.  This is my spring one.  I already have colors that I want to do a fall one and winter one in. :0)

Door Handle

So if you remember, I made one of these for my friend that wanted one.  I really wanted one for my girls room so I made one for that.  I don't know if it makes it quieter when I shut the door.  I was hoping it would make it easier for my 2 year-old to get out of the room on her own and it hasn't done that either.  Oh well.  It was a good idea.

Birthday Dress

I got this pattern a while ago and this material for the pants.  I just didn't have anything I liked for the top.  When I went through all my material, I found this eyelet stuff.  Perfect!  I got it cut out for my daughter and ended up with enough to make one for my niece too who's birthday happened to be the same week.
I love the lace and how cute it turned out.  I had to alter the top a bit to fit my girl better.  It planned on her being able to wear it without a shirt under it but it was a little windy and she wanted to wear it and I wanted pictures. ;0)

I forgot that I made hair clips to go with it.  I love this pinwheel one and have made it a few times.  But I also liked this other one so I made some of all of them. ;0)

Baby Things

Now, I am waiting to post this til my friend that I made all this for has gotten the package.  But I have time right now so I'm making the post.

This is the knot dress that I have fallen in love with.  I have made it so many different ways.  This time I put pleats in it instead of gathering it.  But I wanted a bit more with it so I made these shoes and pin-wheel hair bows to match.

I got the pattern for these off of SewMamaSew site.  LOVE this site.  I wanted them to match the dress and the pleats are perfect!

I found these on Pinterest and have been dieing to make some. I can not wait to make more for my girls!

Another Pinterest pin.  I have to say that this went together so very well and I think I may make some into headbands for little girls and not just neckties.  I'm making more of these for my neighbor that is having a boy and has 2 older boys.
Here is a not so good picture of them all together.  The dress is a size one so it will have to be for next year but I made a few other things that the baby will be able to wear this summer.
One of my babies favorite toys was this tag blanket.  She LOVED it.  So I'm making more.  It is such an easy thing and since babies end up eating their clothes or bibs or socks, this is just as good.

Can not for the life of me find the link that I got this from.  It was with a blanket but I just wanted to make the hat.  I really hope that it fits.  I made 3 bows for this hat and went with this one.  I like it.  Found it.  Here.
My friend asked for this on Pinterest and so I made one up.  I think when I make it again that I will make it wider and put a bit more batting in it.  I'm making some for my doors, one for my babies room and one for mine.  Then I can still shut it but my baby can open the door when she gets up.
This is a boppy cover.  My friend asked me for two things.  A boppy cover and a hooded towel.  This cover is the one I had on my boppy.  I didn't get time to make a new one before I had to send out her package so I did this..
I made my own pattern.  After I'm done with my daughters birthday clothes I'm making, I'll make her a new boppy cover and a few other little dresses that I wanted to do. :0)
This link on Pinterest was so very helpful in making this one.  I loved how well she walked me through the steps and how easy it went together.  I wanted to make it special so I had a neighbor put the "Princess" on there.  This is my new favorite flower to make.  Super easy and super fun!  Found it here.

This is my favorite pattern of all time.  I make this baby dress for all the baby girls I know!  Love the patten, the lace and how summer-y it is.  I got this bow idea from Pinterest too.  Got to love Pinterest. :0)

These were so much fun and I can't wait to finish up the rest I want to make just for her and then I can get started on the other projects I need to do for other friends and their babies and the few I have planned for my daughter for her birthday.

I'm so glad that she got the package so quickly!  Love you Bonnie and can't wait for your baby girl to get here! :0)

Lace-Bottom Tights

So I bought these tights last year to make for my baby.  Now I'm super glad that I bought them big.  I wanted to have some leggings without feet on them and couldn't find any for a good price.  So I bought some tights and some elastic lace and cut off the feet.  It took me a year to figure out/ make time to finish them up.  Now I can't wait for warmer weather for her to wear them with all her cute little dresses and sandals.

Cute huh. :0)

Traval Toothbrush Holder

Another Pinterest idea.  We do a bunch of camping and this will be great to keep our toothbrush and toothpaste in.

Dog Bed

I decided to make my dogs a new bed in hopes that I could get them to quit sleeping on my bed and in my bed and taking over my bed.

I had this material left over from my husbands "snuggie blanket".  Don't ask.  But the dogs love to sleep on it and he doesn't like to share it.  He works most nights anyway and I get to sleep with the dogs by myself but when he is home at nights the 4 of us just don't fit well.
I put it up on my bed in hopes that if I got them to sleep on it then I could move it to the floor and have them still want to sleep on their bed.
For the stuffing we bought some cheap pillows and took out the stuffing and used that for stuffing.  My daughters thought it was a big pillow for them to play on.

The dogs loved it.  More so the little dog.  When I moved it to the floor the next night, Walle, our little dog, loved it!  Eva, the bigger dog, just got back up on the bed.  Walle loves having this huge bed all to himself.  I enjoy having Eva still sleep at my feet.  She keeps them warm. :0)

Fabric

Well, I have a few projects on my to-do list and before I could go fabric shopping, I decided to do something that needed to be done.  Go through all my fabric boxes and see what I have.  I had bags and boxes and fabric just sitting downstairs, not in my fabric boxes.  All from previous projects.  So I pulled it all up and look at what I found.

I can't even tell you how impressed I am with my haul!

I could almost name every project these fabrics are from.  Look at these bags.

One is all interfacing.  This one is all notions.  Zippers, buttons, thread, bias tape, you name it, I think its in here. :0)

Lace, lace and more lace.  Some of this lace is 6" wide.  There is a navy blue that is just to die for and I can't wait to sew with it.  I will never have to buy lace again!  And anyone looking for lace, you know where to come. :0)
This bag is just scraps.  There are too big to throw away but to small for clothing projects.  They happen to be perfect for hair flowers and other little project though.

This pile is just my cottons.  I have denim, silky, sheer, knit, furs and any other fabric you could name!  Oh the projects I saw!

I have so much that a trip to the fabric store is out of the question. :0(  But I did get a lot of project ideas.  Some for all the friends I have that are having babies in the next few months and some for my girls.  Let the sewing begin!
