Lace-Bottom Tights

So I bought these tights last year to make for my baby.  Now I'm super glad that I bought them big.  I wanted to have some leggings without feet on them and couldn't find any for a good price.  So I bought some tights and some elastic lace and cut off the feet.  It took me a year to figure out/ make time to finish them up.  Now I can't wait for warmer weather for her to wear them with all her cute little dresses and sandals.

Cute huh. :0)

Traval Toothbrush Holder

Another Pinterest idea.  We do a bunch of camping and this will be great to keep our toothbrush and toothpaste in.

Dog Bed

I decided to make my dogs a new bed in hopes that I could get them to quit sleeping on my bed and in my bed and taking over my bed.

I had this material left over from my husbands "snuggie blanket".  Don't ask.  But the dogs love to sleep on it and he doesn't like to share it.  He works most nights anyway and I get to sleep with the dogs by myself but when he is home at nights the 4 of us just don't fit well.
I put it up on my bed in hopes that if I got them to sleep on it then I could move it to the floor and have them still want to sleep on their bed.
For the stuffing we bought some cheap pillows and took out the stuffing and used that for stuffing.  My daughters thought it was a big pillow for them to play on.

The dogs loved it.  More so the little dog.  When I moved it to the floor the next night, Walle, our little dog, loved it!  Eva, the bigger dog, just got back up on the bed.  Walle loves having this huge bed all to himself.  I enjoy having Eva still sleep at my feet.  She keeps them warm. :0)

Basil Chicken in Cocomut Curry

I have to say that this was pretty yummy.  My family wasn't a fan because it had a bit of a kick to it.  We are not a spicy family.  But if you like spicy, this is for you.  Got it from Pinterest here. Enjoy!

Fabric

Well, I have a few projects on my to-do list and before I could go fabric shopping, I decided to do something that needed to be done.  Go through all my fabric boxes and see what I have.  I had bags and boxes and fabric just sitting downstairs, not in my fabric boxes.  All from previous projects.  So I pulled it all up and look at what I found.

I can't even tell you how impressed I am with my haul!

I could almost name every project these fabrics are from.  Look at these bags.

One is all interfacing.  This one is all notions.  Zippers, buttons, thread, bias tape, you name it, I think its in here. :0)

Lace, lace and more lace.  Some of this lace is 6" wide.  There is a navy blue that is just to die for and I can't wait to sew with it.  I will never have to buy lace again!  And anyone looking for lace, you know where to come. :0)
This bag is just scraps.  There are too big to throw away but to small for clothing projects.  They happen to be perfect for hair flowers and other little project though.

This pile is just my cottons.  I have denim, silky, sheer, knit, furs and any other fabric you could name!  Oh the projects I saw!

I have so much that a trip to the fabric store is out of the question. :0(  But I did get a lot of project ideas.  Some for all the friends I have that are having babies in the next few months and some for my girls.  Let the sewing begin!

I'm in Love

Found this when I woke up this morning.  My husband loves me. :0)

Valentine Oreo's

Pinterest had them in heart shapes but I was lazy.  I am loving the filling recipe I got on here though.  It uses a lot less sugar and marshmallow cream.  I think I've found a winner.

Valentine Purse

I love making Valentine's!  I love making Valentine boxes.  This year, I didn't get to make one with my boys.  One got to do it at school and the other is getting to old for that kind of thing I guess.  But, I made this for my daughter to take to school today to put her Valentine's in.

It is just craft foam cut out and sewn together with boondoogle cord.
Pretty smart huh. :0)

Banana Muffins

We have gotten a ton of banana's lately.  We have eaten them all.  I've not even had some left to make banana bread with.  But there was one and I really wanted to try this new recipe from Pinterest.

SO GOOD!

Love them and can't wait to make them again.  I liked that I only needed one banana and I think I'll put just a bit more pecans in the next batch.

Home-made Valentines

Again, thanks to Pinterest, I had the desire to make all my kids Valentines this year.  I have 3 in school.  I'm crazy.

But I have saved a ton of money. :0)

These ones I spent $2 on the paper clips.
I had all that felt from Christmas and I had the thread so it was an easy thing to make these ones.
I spent $3 on the pencils for this Valentine.  Too cute.
This one was $4.50 for the suckers.

My kids are excited to finish them up this weekend and to work on the boxes for them to take with them.  I like being crafty with my kids. :0)

Kindle Covers

We just got our taxes back.  They went all to bills this year.  So not fun.  But we wanted to do something for each of our kids with a bit so for our 2 boys, we found Kindles on KSL.com for good deals.  My husband said they needed covers for them and bought them some material for me to make them one. :0)

Book light from the dollar store. ;0)
I did it a bit different than the one I made myself.  I put felt on the one side to protect the Kindle a bit more.
Instead of corners, I made a heavy hold on the bottom and used elastic on the top.
Very impressed with how this turned out.

You remember how I had to make 3 of mine to get it sort of right.  Well, you can see my first attempt didn't go so well either.  I had to cut some out and it doesn't meet up on the side.  I'll be making this Kindle another one this weekend after a birthday party.

My husband found this material for my Dad and had to get it for him so I could make him a Kindle holder also.

Glazed Orange Rolls

I think I need to put this website on my side bar.  I found a bunch of really good recipes.  Here is the orange rolls I tried.

Glazed Orange Rolls
The baby loved them, my husband said they were gross and he would just have to eat them all.  I liked them warm.  They were really good.  I cooked mine too long.  I did the 22 minutes but they should have come out at 20.  They were just a little brown.  Not really burnt but I would have liked them lighter.

Here is the link over for this recipe.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

We loved this!  It was good and it made nice left overs.  I think I'll make this when it will be more than just our family though. It made a lot. :0)  Here is the link over to the recipe.
